



Jaggery Brown Sugar
Buttery and rich, our jaggery comes from partner farmer Dr. Salunkhe, who also grows our favorite turmeric in the world. Use instead of white or brown sugar in any recipe, as a garnish on fruit, yogurt, oatmeal and baked goods, or to balance spicy heat in stews and curries.
The jaggery starts with fresh cane, juiced and boiled down to a syrup in traditional iron pots, clarified using wild okra, and then whipped by hand to produce light, crunchy crystals.
